Nano tag^TM is an Implantable Activity and Temperature Measuring Device for Animals for observing behavior of small-medium size of animals such as rats, mice, dog, monkey and other species.

Mechanism of recording Activity and Temperature

Nano tag^TM has a three-axis accelerometer and a temperature sensor, and those sensors continually detect animal’s activity and body temperature. All detected data is stored into internal memory for retrieving wirelessly later. ^{* 1}

* Because there is a temperature sensor inside the body, the temperature measured is the temperature inside the measuring device.

Multiple animals can be measured in one cage

Since the data is stored in the measuring device, keeping multiple animals in the same cage does not affect the measured data.

Measurement for 60 days

Equipped with a battery, it can be measured for about 60 days ^{* 2}.
By turning off the power of the measuring device, the battery can be used only for natural discharge.
If only the temperature is recorded, it is more energy efficient and can be measured for up to about 180 days.
The timer reservation function ^{* 3} can also be used to automatically start/stop measurement.
*2 For 24 hour measurement, this is an estimate when you use the service 1 time per day within 2 minutes.
Depending on how you use it, we may not be able to measure it for 60 days.
The measurement period for 60 days is within 1 year after purchase. If more than 1 year has passed, the number of measurement days may be less than 60 days due to spontaneous discharge of the battery.
*3 If you set the timer reservation, the battery will run out even if you wait without recording. Therefore, if the waiting time for timer reservation becomes long, recording for 60 days may not be possible.

FeliCa^TM communication support

The measured data is stored in the Nano tag ^TM itself.
Saved data is transferred to the PC by FeliCa ^TM communication.
Even when the nano tag ^TMis embedded in an animal, measurement can be started/stopped and data can be read as long as the communication distance is within 1 cm.

Disposable devise

Nano tag ^TM is disposable (disposable).
Batteries cannot be replaced because of its compact, lightweight and completely waterproof construction.

Small and Light

Size is 18.8 x 14.2 x 7.1 mm and weight is about 2.7 g (including batteries).
